Couldn’t three guys in a garage build this in a matter of weeks? That’s a familiar, unsettling question web developers and the people who work with them ask whenever a project is time intensive. After all, the most successful, most well known companies in tech such as Microsoft, Google and Facebook are virtually mythologized to have shot right out of dorm rooms and into millions of living rooms and offices. Our industry is built upon and excited by the garage/dorm room startup archetype where a few talented people get together, roll up their sleeves, and bang out an incredible product in record time.
