How I Became the Voice of the Hurricane

As the proud owner of the Twitter account @Irene I found my account more active than ever this past weekend. Last week I began receiving tweets directed at Hurricane Irene and my coworkers, Associate Creative Director Ross Morrison and Copywriter Bjorn Larsen, pleaded with me to hand over my account and allow them to live blog the storm. I conceded, and they spent the weekend churning out tweets as the voice of the hurricane, providing both jokes and helpful news to the masses and which gained the account over 11,000 followers.
